This private residence, in a semi-rural area, incorporated several acres of varied types of landscape, including wooded areas, driveway and parking, entrance courtyard, pool and pool house, and many pedestrian pathways in between. The lighting throughout was carefully chosen for each type of area, with scale of light and output adjusting as the landscape does. Glare was kept to a minimum with well shielded and appropriately sized fixtures. Facade lights were added to light smaller buildings throughout the property as well as column lights on the main house, so that lighting the existing architecture could also help complement the landscape at night. The extensive gardens were beautifully illuminated for safety, security, and aesthetics.
